The times, they are a changin' for our favorite young, rich and beautiful Upper East Siders... and the changes aren't always pretty.
If the transition into college wasn't enough, the newest spoilers from the Gossip Girl front show that there will be no lack of drama between Blair and her BFF, boyfriend, and well... everybody!
Spoilers ahead for Season 3 of Gossip Girl, including... what job could Serena be swapping for studying at Brown?
From E! Online: Ms. Serena gets a gig as a celebrity publicist and while working a movie premiere
finds herself in the company of such high-falutin' magazine-cover
staples [as Tyra Banks and Tory Burch]. (Maybe they can give her some advice on getting additional
tabloid attention?)
And in one of the other new photos from "Dan de Fleurette," you'll notice that Taylor Momsen Little J and Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass (Jenny's one-time would-be date rapist, who is now fully apologetic and humbled) are spending some quality time together.
What could possibly lead to such a unlikely conversation? Well, it's Gossip Girl,
so it makes sense that a shady plot has brought them together. Yep,
sources tell us exclusively that Little J and Chuck are up to no
good--they need each other for a scheme--and when Blair finds out what
they're up to, she blows a gasket.
From TV Guide:Q: Does Gossip Girl plan to give Chuck and Blair a fair shot as a couple this season? What about Nate and Serena? Can we expect a build-up for them?
A: As Monday's third season premiere of Gossip Girl clearly demonstrated, Chuck and Blair's love is a many-splendored (read: twisted) thing.
In other words, its success or failure won't follow any logical path.
No Serena for Nate, at least for the near future, as he'll be
occupied with guest star JoAnna Garcia, who plays Texan political
heiress Bree Buckley.
"I invested in a lot of lip balm and a spray tan, and just prepared
myself to make out all summer," Garcia says of her four-episode stint.
She compares their affair to that of Romeo and Juliet. "It's very
poetic and lovely," she says.
From EW's Michael Ausiello:
Q: Can you do me a huge favor and give the fans some Gossip Girl
scoop pertaining to Blair and Serena? I'm just dying to know if these
old frenemies will be loving or hating each other this season.
A: They'll start out loving each other, but by
November, the hate is on! What triggers the war? Let's just say Blair
doesn't exactly follow the bros before hos system (or, in this case,
hos before bros).
From Movieline, with Gossip Girl Executive Producer Stephanie Savage:
On Chuck's Gay Kiss:
The kid in the smaller part [Neal Bledsoe] has a much bigger story. We
had hoped that word of Chuck's kiss wouldn't even have leaked . We
didn't want people to make more of a deal of it than the story does and
we think that the actors and the characters...that it's a really cool
story, the way it unfolds in the episode and we had hoped that people
would have the fun of being surprised by it.
Will Chuck's gay kiss have anything to do with Blair finally reversing the role-playing for her enjoyment?
Actually, it is related to their game-playing.
Has Gossip Girl run into similar problems -- having to cut scenes that might seem too sexual?
We did have to reshoot something involving a vibrator in season one.
Can you go into any detail?
It was the first episode after the strike ("The Blair Bitch Project"),
when Georgina was sending Serena some gifts that she thought were
coming from Chuck and it turned out they were coming form Georgina, so
we had to reshoot one of her gifts.
