I know I'm in the minority on this one, and feel free to bludgeon me with a Burberry bag if you must, but I actually like Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl
. The character receives a lot of hate from the fans, who tend to see Little J as an obnoxious, annoying brat. I agree she can be bratty, but for the most part I think she's delightfully bitchy, which is quite different. It's nice to see a 15-year-old who has both the 'tude to stand up to the likes of Blair and Eleanor Waldorf, and the nerve to plant a kiss on Nate. Little J has what it takes to mix things up with the devious masterminds of the Upper East Side, and that's something to be admired.
On Monday's new episode of Gossip Girl
, J and Agnes plan a guerilla fashion show that may catapult Jenny to fame and fortune. You can check out some photos and a promo for the episode below.

The CW's official episode description reads: "Serena (Blake Lively
) invites Aaron to be her guest at a charity gala honoring Lily and Bart, but after discovering a secret that Aaron has been keeping from her she begins to question whether Aaron is the guy she thought he was. Hoping it will help her chances of getting into Yale, Blair (Leighton Meester
) naively agrees to babysit the 15-year-old daughter of a prominent Yale donor, but the teenager proves to be more than a handful and Blair begins to suspect that the evening may actually wind up hurting her chances of getting into the college of her dreams. Meanwhile, Jenny (Taylor Momsen
) and Agnes plan a guerilla fashion show that will either launch Jenny's star or ruin her chances of ever being accepted by the industry."
The first photo provides some good news for Jenny haters, as it looks like she's going to have a run-in with the cops. My guess is that they don't take kindly to the idea of an impromptu fashion show, even in the heart of New York City.
I'm still debating whether the kiss between Jenny and Nate (Chace Crawford
) last week was creepy and out of nowhere or sexy and inevitable. I can't decide. The picture below shows the couple taking their romance public, which is perhaps the worst idea ever. Also, can we please discuss Jenny's hat for a moment? I'm not even sure it should be called a hat, since it kind of looks like a tiny Frisbee that landed on J's head while she walked through Central Park one day. I don't approve.
The promo for "There Might Be Blood" shows Rufus (Matthew Settle
) handing Jenny over to the cops, Chuck (Ed Westwick
) admiring Little J's determination, and Blair doing her best to stop the fashion show.
The new episode of Gossip Girl
airs Monday at 8pm on the CW.
