It may be tough for Gossip Girl to top the hilarious catfight between Blair and Serena that was the highlight of Monday's episode, but next week's installment will try to do just that.  The episode, entitled "Chuck in Real Life," finds Vanessa attempting to blackmail Blair (Leighton Meester) into being a nicer person.  You'd think V would know by now that anyone who goes up against Miss Waldorf is immediately crushed and run out of town.  What sort of evil deeds will B have to indulge in to teach Vanessa a lesson?

To get fans ready for next week's new Gossip Girl, we have some pictures and a promo for the episode.

The CW's official episode description reads: "Vanessa uses the scandalous picture of Catherine and Marcus to blackmail Blair into being a nicer person, so Blair seeks revenge by enticing Chuck to seduce Vanessa.  Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Bart throw an extravagant housewarming party and expect their children to make them proud in front of the attending press, but a rebellious Serena (Blake Lively) isn't ready to play by their rules.  Meanwhile, Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) discover a big secret that Nate (Chace Crawford) has been keeping from his friends."

The first photo from the episode shows Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Bart together, which is a father-son dynamic I'm even more interested to see now that Chuck admitted that his father blames him for his mother's death.  I always love to see the Bass family have dysfunctional get-togethers.



It's impossible to get enough of Blair and Chuck, and this episode looks to have plenty of great moments between the two.  I expect lots of bickering and perhaps one or two sweet exchanges.



The promo below gives us some idea of the awesomeness to come in Monday's episode.  Blair does her best impression of Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions and asks Chuck to use his seductive charms to destroy Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).  It looks like it might work, but first Chuck has to play the role of Ryan Phillipe and attempt to sleep with Blair.



The new episode of Gossip Girl airs Monday at 8pm on the CW.
