'Gossip Girl' Actor Embroiled in Nasty Gay Gossip
Ok, so the show is called Gossip Girl, and now, one of its mainstays has found himself in the thick of some downright nasty gossip.  Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald on The CW show, has been linked to, of all people, former `N Sync heartthrob, JC Chasez.

Yes, if we're to believe the relentless rumor mill, Chasez, who has found a new career as one of the judges on Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew, is said to have followed his former `N Sync co-member, Lance Bass, into, well, for lack of a better term, gay-hood.  And that his latest companion of choice, is allegedly, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford.

Well, enough is enough, according to JC himself.  The former boy band stalwart told People during the live finale of America's Best Dance Crew that it has become a nuisance.

"You know what, it's laughable the first time," Chasez told People.  "I think the tenth time, it gets annoying.  I don't care about [people's] assumptions or anything, but when people outright lie, that's wrong, so I think that part of the rumor is outright stupid."

It seems all the speculation began when people started seeing Chasez and Crawford together a lot of late.  The two were seen hanging with each other at Elton John's post-Oscar party, as well at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel a couple of weekends ago.  Still, can't two guys just enjoy each other's company without folks automatically thinking there's more behind it than simple friendship?  That's apparently the same point JC Chasez would like to make, saying “The fact of the matter is I'm a straight guy, and I'm allowed to have (guy) friends.”

Meanwhile, Gossip Girl's Crawford has reportedly split with erstwhile girlfriend, Carrie Underwood of American Idol fame.  According to sources for Us Weekly, the two are now a non-couple after dating for about eight months.  Crawford and Underwood allegedly began their romance in July, although they only went public with the relationship in October.
