'Gone Country' Contestants Check into 'Outsider's Inn'
Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Maureen McCormickCountry music fans have at least two things to look forward to this coming August.  Aside the second season of Gone Country, which takes seven new celebrities from every realm of the entertainment industries and immerse them in all things country for a chance to break out as a country star, viewers can also expect the return of some of the show's first season contestants as they star in yet another country-themed reality series.

Maureen McCormick, first season contestant of Gone Country who is best known as Marcia Brady from the hit television show The Brady Bunch, will attempt to run a southern bed and breakfast with the help of her Gone Country housemates Bobby Brown, R&B star of the late 1980s, and Carnie Wilson, member of the pop band Wilson Phillips, on CMT's Outsider's Inn.

Premiering on August 15, Outsider's Inn is an eight-episode reality series that documents the struggles and challenges that ensue when McCormick decides to manage a bed and breakfast in rural east Tennessee.  Upon realizing the magnitude of this new endeavor, she enlists the help of her former co-stars, Brown and Wilson, to assist her.

McCormick takes over management of property, Brown serves as the entertainment director, while Wilson assumes the role of master chef.  Of course, things get complicated as each episode features a diverse group of houseguests, as well as new problems for the each cast mate to take on.

Outsider's Inn is produced by David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe of Renegade 83 Productions with Claire McCabe, Bob Kusbit and John Hamlin as executive producers.

Meanwhile, the brand new cast for the second season of Gone Country has already been revealed by the network.  You can read more about the seven contending celebrities in this previous article.
