"You know we had to do it," Kevin McHale says. In a new video from FOX, the cast of Glee reveals a new number they're working on for an episode coming at the end of November, and it's none other than the Psy smash hit "Gangnam Style."

Glee is available on Amazon Prime.

Watch as Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Darren Criss introduce the number which appears to be one the New Directions will perform at Sectionals.

Of course by November this fad will already be dated, but that doesn't seem to deter the show from going forward with this cultural flash-in-the-pan that is already played out. Part of me hopes New Directions actually loses at Sectionals because of this, although I'm not sure what the rest of the season would be about if the glee club stops competing for the second half of the season.

What do you think of Glee taking on "Gangnam Style"? Is it a great idea or a desperate attempt to latch onto another pop trend (see Rebecca Black's "Friday" at prom).

Glee returns with new episodes Thursday, November 8 at 9pm on FOX.
