Listen to the Music from 'Glee' Episode 8: "Mash-Up"
At the end of last night's Glee, I felt a bit torn apart.  I don't know why the episode didn't really work for me.  I mean, it can't be the lack of Sue.  It can't be the lack of Will-Emma scenes.  And it definitely isn't the lack of romance, judging from how Rachel and Puck almost got there.

Maybe it's because there's a lot of things that we had to get used to, and definitely we didn't expect to see Sue all smiling and speaking softly, "okay, Rod."  Or Emma in a wedding dress, although she can pull off the Audrey Hepburn look quite well (except for the googly eyes which freaked me out).  And then there are this week's songs, with the most unexpected of characters singing: Puck and Emma both get their spot on the spotlight, and we're all the better for it.

Especially Mark Salling.  Neil Diamond tweeted this: "So who's this guy Puck singing 'Sweet Caroline' so good, so good, so good, so good on Glee? Loved it!"  There goes my next download.

So here go the songs for this week, available on iTunes and, in a week or so, on CD:

Matthew Morrison doing Young MC's "Bust A Move":

Matthew Morrison doing Sisqo's "Thong Song":

Mark Salling doing Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline":

Jayma Mays doing "I Could Have Danced All Night" from My Fair Lady:
