Good news for Glee, SNL, and comedy fans alike: Jane Lynch, currently delighting and terrifying us as the instantly iconic Sue Sylvester on Glee, will get back to her improv roots this fall when she'll host an episode of Saturday Night Live, Movieline reports.

Lynch, a Second City improv veteran, will host one of the first few episodes of SNL's upcoming 36th season, and the news has already got Glee fans musing over whether the beloved character actress will break out her signature track suit for any of the sketches. Lynch has incredible range as a comedienne and actress, so we don't think she needs to lean on Sue to get the laughs on SNL--but even so, a "That's How Sue C's It" segment on Weekend Update sounds pretty darn perfect.

It's already been a big summer for Lynch and Sue: the former just got married and hosted the Do Something Awards while the latter was busy being immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

And now they're both sitting pretty for fall: Besides this exciting SNL news, Lynch is a definite frontrunner for the Supporting Actress in a Comedy award at this year's Emmys on August 29. And despite her brief change of heart (or growth of heart, as it were) you can bet that Sue Sylvester will come back to McKinley High with a vengeance when Glee season 2 premieres on September 21.
