Glee season 3 kicks off Tuesday, September 20 and the newest
trailer has plenty of footage from the premiere. Accompanied once again
by "We Got the Beat," the new scenes feature people getting things
thrown on them a lot.
Watch the Glee Season 3 Dodgeball Promo>>There's a massive cafeteria food fight, a slushie attack and a glitter bomb. Throw in Brittany's plans for a time machine and you have what looks like some old school, fun, silly
Glee.
Check out the new trailer.
Here are my top four observations about
Glee season 3.
-Will glitter bombs Sue! It's funny, but much like Kathy Griffin's "I am not a witch," the political humor already seems very dated. I'm reminded of a bit of criticism Toby gave Will Bailey on the fourth season of
The West Wing about speechwriting: "When you use pop-culture references, your speech has a shelf life of 12 minutes."
-"Taste the rainbow, gleeyotch!" Again, kind of funny, but we're going into
Glee season 3, so the football team really needs to step up its game with the slushies and not just hit the kids in the hallways. Maybe wait until Finn goes into a bathroom stall then go over the sides and pelt him with slushies while he's dropping the kids off at the pool. I know the football players aren't that smart, but if they're going to keep bullying the glee kids, the least they can do is think outside the box.
-Brittany is working on a time machine! I hope Lord Tubbington becomes the first ever cat time traveler. That fat cat is easily one of my favorite things about
Glee.
-Quinn has pink hair! I guess cutting it wasn't enough to get over Finn. Let's just hope she doesn't shave it all off and start beating cars with umbrellas. On second thought, that would be awesome.
Glee season 3 premieres Tuesday, September 20 at 8pm on FOX.
