Judging from the past few Glee
episodes, it seems nothing's going to stop New Directions from making things really work. Note, I'm just referring to the glee club being able to perform, and not the personal stuff about Quinn getting pregnant or Kurt being gay or all those other stuff. The club's getting really comfortable with each other, they realize they need each other, and it seems there's nothing in the way for them to get out there and shine. Proof: a photo from last week's episode.
Glee is available on Amazon Prime.
Okay. Maybe they're getting too comfortable. That, and I just had to post that photo.
Will, of course, knows that complacency is not a good thing--say, did he take the cue from April?--so this week he pits the glee club against each other. At least it isn't in the Sue Sylvester-recommended manner: that's for next week. This week, it's a simple for-fun competition between the boys and the girls, in a mash-up showdown.
Sure, we've seen a lot about this. It's pretty surprising to see a lot of talk about this episode, as much as last week's, although it's because Kristin Chenoweth was there. Must be because mashing songs up sounds a lot of fun. I mean, I tried doing that when I was six, and I obviously failed.
So here's what we know: the girls are doing a hybrid of Beyonce's "Halo" and Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine"
, while the guys are doing a hybrid of Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" and Usher's "Confessions Part II". (Don't tell me you haven't seen the video. Go click here if you haven't!
) I wonder who wins this one. I heard a bad copy of the girls' song and... I'd rather watch it, really. The yellow dresses must work.
And then there's the other stuff: there's Terri, also known as the hysterically pregnant girl who thinks her husband is going out with the guidance counselor that some claim to have a "mental illness". Finally, she'll help out in keeping their finances afloat, so she takes a job as a nurse as McKinley High. Yep. That means she gets to snoop on Will, and she has a good chance of meeting Sue. (Which, I think, will happen.) Never mind that she doesn't have any experience.Glee
returns tonight from 9pm on Fox. The photos are, as always, right below--and no, no kissing.- Henrik Batallones, BuddyTV Staff Columnist(Images courtesy of Fox)
