Glee: Previewing Episode 5 "The Rhodes Not Taken"
Glee: Previewing Episode 5 "The Rhodes Not Taken"
I think I'm still on a high from last week's Glee.  While "Single Ladies" did not get stuck in my head, the image of Finn, Puck and the rest of the team dancing along to it sure did get stuck, to the extent that it's become my more family-friendly equivalent of the mailman.  (Family-friendly, I say!)  I had to watch the video again just to get rid of it.

Now I've gotten rid of it.  Whew.

It's a good thing, because on tonight's Glee, it's the moment many of my gleek friends--and definitely most, if not all, Pushing Daisies fans--are waiting for: recent Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth.  Ahh, more singing chops!

Kristin plays April Rhodes, Will's former classmate, who he wheels in because he thinks the glee club needs an edge.  We do know April's got a drinking problem and relies on the bottle to get through everything.  Let's not suggest she'll have Will rely on the bottle too to deal with his problems, shall we?  There's the domestic issues, and then there's Rachel leaving the club to work full-time in Sandy's play-slash-diabolical plan.

But of course we know Rachel will see the light and return.  Is there another reason why we'd be treated to a Lea Michele/Kristin Chenoweth duet?

By the way, we just got our hands on five more photos from this episode, of the complete glee club (no Kristen, oddly) singing Queen's "Somebody to Love".  Deep inside, I'm going, "yay, glee club is complete!" because as you all know, there should be at least 12 members for a team to enter regionals.  I think we barely realized that after seeing Kurt dance before kicking.  On with the extra photos, then:

Matt, Kurt, Tina, Santana, Brittany, Mike, Puck, Rachel, Quinn and Mercedes. And in the middle, Finn, also known as god of the spotlights.

Of course. Finn, Mercedes and Rachel.

Oh man, she can belt.

What Artie can't do with walking, he can do by playing the guitar.

It's the last nooooooooooooooooooooote!

Oh, wait, they're just 11, not 12.  So that's why we didn't notice it.  Now give Kristin a more permanent role, please?  Glee returns tonight from 9pm on Fox.  The rest of the photos?  You know where to look, Finn.

And while we're at it, you might want to see a video of Kristin rehearsing her song, courtesy of the Los Angeles Times.
