Glee is about to get a new infusion of dudes for season 4. The
show has cast Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist in two pivotal roles for the
new year.
Geyer (pictured, left) will play Brody Weston, an upperclassman at NYADA with an interest in Rachel. Look out Finn, you've got some talented, good-looking competition.
Artist (a name almost as good as Chord Overstreet) will play Jake Puckerman, Puck's half-brother who tries out for New Directions but has some serious attitude problems.
Geyer appeared on the Australian soap
Neighbours but he is probably best known to American audiences for his role on FOX's
Terra Nova as Mark Reynolds, Maddy's boyfriend. Artist is a relative newcomer with guest roles in Nickelodeon's
How to Rock and ABC Family's
Melissa and Joey as well as the recent Lifetime movie remake of
Blue Lagoon.
The addition of these two new male characters makes it seem far more likely that the winner of
The Glee Project season 2 will be a woman since McKinley is in short supply. Currently there are only three female members of New Directions, Tina, Brittany and Sugar.
Glee season 4 begins Thursday, September 13 at 9pm on FOX.
