Right now I'm laughing at myself--never mind that the
Glee cast was pulled out of the roster for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, because
they're singing the national anthem at the World Series.Fox has confirmed that the cast of the hit series will perform on Game 3 of the World Series, which will happen on October 31. Depending on how things go, that game could happen either in Los Angeles or Philadelphia.
Makes sense, because Fox is airing the World Series this year, like in recent years. Makes sense, because it's a pretty good way to promote the show in a slightly viral way (although not as viral as, say, the Observer--you know,
Fringe--showing up on
American Idol).
Makes perfect sense, because for gleeks who are definitely dismayed at the idea of
Glee skipping a week because of the World Series, well, they get something to tide them over until the following week. It's going to be a wee bit easier.
Not to mention we are at least assured of a good performance of the national anthem.
