While we're all absorbed in summer shows like Under the Dome
and America's Got Talent
, let's not forget our favorites that are returning in the fall. We've got a lot of new cast members coming to shows like Revolution
, The Good Wife
, Switched at Birth
and more. Also, there's a new judge in town.
Jewel Joins The Sing-Off:
Glee is available on Amazon Prime.
When the a cappella competition show returned in 2011 with a new weekly format, Sara Bareilles was the new member on the judging panel. But when the series returns for season 4 as a holiday event later this year, she'll be replaced by Jewel. Alongside her will be returning judges Shawn Stockman and Ben Folds, as well as host Nick Lachey (who's currently hosting The Winner Is
).Jessica Collins as a new love interest on Revolution:
Last seen in Zero Dark Thirty
, she's set for a recurring role in season 2 as Cynthia, "a beautiful young woman of deep faith, whose winning humor and blazing intelligence capture the heart of one of Revolution
's leading characters," according to Deadline
. With Nora having died in last season's finale, could Collins be playing Miles' new love interest? We don't know yet, but what we do know is she will be in at least the first four episodes.
Also joining Revolution is Patrick Heusinger
, who you may remember from Royal Pains
. He's signed on for a recurring guest starring role as Adam, reports The Hollywood Reporter
. Unfortunately, nothing is known about how he'll play into the series.Jayma Mays is movin' over to The Millers:
star is replacing Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who originally had the role when the pilot was shot. The new CBS comedy follows Will Arnett's character Nathan after his parents divorce -- his mother moves in with him, and his father goes to live with his sister Debbie, played by Mays. For fans of the FOX musical dramedy, don't worry: she will still show up in at least a few episodes during Glee
's fifth season, according to THR
.Mare Winningham goes Under the Dome:
Chester's Mill better be prepared for Agatha, a caretaker who we soon find out isn't as warm and friendly as she first appears. Executive producer Neal Baer told TV Guide
, "She's my good-luck charm: I worked with her on ER
, as well as on Law & Order: SVU
. She brings truth and believability to every role and she will definitely leave viewers talking."Melissa George brings honesty to The Good Wife:
alum is coming aboard season 5 as Marilyn, the in-house ethics counsel for Governor-elect Florrick. As TVLine notes
, she's "smart, sexy, savvy and ... a stickler for honesty and observing the rules." Honesty and following the rules? With the vote-rigging incident, it sounds like she'll be keeping herself busy.Revolution
's not the only show with a new love interest. Also heading to The Good Wife is Juliet Rylance
, who has signed on as Holly, Kalinda's new love interest and an Assistant State's Attorney. But guess what? TVLine reports
that the two share a past. Hmm ... things just got a lot more interesting.
We now know a couple new additions to The Good Wife
, but what about the existing cast? CBS TV Studios tweeted out
this exciting news: "He's here to stay! Zach Grenier has joined #TheGoodWife as a series regular
!" Get ready for even more David Lee in season 5.Joey Lauren Adams as a mom on Switched at Birth:
Adams will guest star as Nikki's mother in two episodes this season, which will air on August 5 and 12. Show creator Lizzy Weiss tweeted
, "What's Joey Lauren Adams doing on our set with @MrGrabeel? Find out this summer," along with a picture of the two together, and mentioned how much Adams and Nikki look alike
.Stacy Haiduk gets Twisted:
If you've been watching the new ABC Family drama, then coming up in episodes 10 and 11, the Young and the Restless
star will show up in a recurring role as Marilyn Rossi, who works at a private security firm and will be hired to investigate Regina's murder. But that's not all we'll find out about her. According to The Hollywood Reporter
, she has some secrets of her own, and on a murder mystery show like this one, it's pretty much a guarantee that they won't be secret for long.Want to add Revolution, Under the Dome, The Good Wife and all your favorite shows to your very own watch-list?
