Tracee Ellis Ross was born on October 29, 1972 in Los Angeles, California. She is also known to be the daughter of popular singer Diana Ross and Robert Ellis Silberstein. She began her career in the limelight as a model in the fashion industry. Eventually, she landed roles in films like Far Harbor and became a host for The Dish, a Lifetime TV magazine series. Ultimately, she became part of the television series Girlfriends as Joan Clayton. Joan Clayton depicts a character that often looks out for the needs of her friends. She earned her law degree at UCLA where she met Toni.
