Will New Changes Make Gilmore Girls Not Suck Anymore?
Last year's sixth season of Gilmore Girls disappointed and enraged many long-time fans of the show. Although Luke and Lorelai finally "got together," the season ended with a spat between the two and Lorelai sleeping with her ex, Christopher. Perhaps David S. Rosenthal, the new show-runner, will be able to resurrect the family-oriented dramedy. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her writer-producer husband Daniel Palladino have left the show, allegedly citing contract disputes with the network. Rosenthal wrote the season seven premiere episode; fans can decide for themselves whether he's up to the task. Gilmore Girls' seventh season premieres September 26 on the CW, a new network formed from the merger of UPN and The WB television networks. Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham (Lorelai) will also be appearing this fall on the new Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip's October 9 and 16 episodes, playing a guest host on the show's show-within-a-show.
