Alexis Bledel, the product of one Mexican and one Argentinean parent, grew up in Houston, Texas speaking only Spanish. It wasn't until grade school that she mastered English. On Gilmore Girls
, Bledel put that mastery to use, espousing her dialogue in the patented rapid-fire delivery that Gilmore Girls
was known for.
Prior to landing her part as Rory Gilmore on the Gilmore Girls
, Bledel spent her childhood working as a model. It wasn't until an audition came along for Gilmore Girls
that she began acting.
Alexis moved out to LA in 2000, at the age of 19, to begin production on Gilmore Girls
. Since then, she has appeared in many films, including "Tuck Everlasting", "Bride and Prejudice", "The Orphan King", "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and its sequel, and "Sin City." Bledel looks to have a bright future, whether it be in film, television, or both.
