Earlier in the season, it was revealed that
Jay Mohr's
Ghost Whisperer character, Professor Rick Payne, is a bit infatuated with the show's lead, Melinda Gordon (
Jennifer Love Hewitt). However, there's one problem standing Rick's way: Melinda is happily married to Jim Clancy (
David Conrad).
Mohr, a 37-year-old actor-comedian, admitted that even he has no idea if anything will become of his character's romantic feeling towards the attractive antique store owner.

I would love to see these two together!! On the show, anyway. They're adorable.
"We don't know where that's gonna go," Mohr told northjersey.com.
CBS'
Ghost Whisperer follows the gifted Melinda as she tries to help earthbound spirits cross-over. Mohr's Rick, an expert on occult history, was introduced as a recurring character during the show's second season, but now appears regularly.
"He's very scatter-brained," Jay Mohr said of his character. "He's got a brain filled with what some may consider useless knowledge. He's very cynical, but if you cut through the cynicism, I think he'd be a lot of fun to be around."
Ghost Whisperer isn't the only thing that's keeping Mohr busy, however. Since August, he has been writing a weekly column called
The Alternative for FoxSports.com, throwing in 20-minute video segments as a supplement for each article.
"It's fun until you can't think of what to write," he said.
The column was recently nominated for a Wave Award, with the awards event scheduled to take place early next year.
"I don't know who my competition is," Jay Mohr. "It's probably a Kanye West ringtone or something. I'll go down fighting, though."
To top it all off, Mohr is also appearing in several upcoming films, one of which is the thriller,
The Night Watchman, co-starring Keanu Reeves, Hugh Laurie (House) and Oscar winner, Forest Whitaker.
"It's sort of like
Mission: Impossible for cops, and I'm the guy that's the head-crusher," Mohr, who plays Sergeant Mike Clady in the film, said. For the role, Mohr had to sport a big moustache and gain 18 pounds, which he is still in the process of losing.
