The star of CBS’ Ghost Whisperer may soon be uttering two of life’s biggest words.  Yes, Jennifer Love Hewitt, who plays lead character, Melinda Gordon, on the supernatural drama, could be saying “I do” in the near future.

According to various reports, Hewitt and her Scottish boyfriend, Ross McCall, are now an officially engaged couple.

“They got engaged last week,” Hewitt’s representative confirmed through a statement exclusive to Us Weekly magazine.  Us Weekly‘s official website also had the inside dish regarding the heirloom piece which McCall reportedly gave the Ghost Whisperer star to formalize their engagement.  Usmagazine.com reported that Hewitt’s engagement ring has been in her new fiancé’s family for over a century.

Hewitt, star of the television series Party of Five as well as the horror flick, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and its sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, has been dating McCall for two years.  The two met when McCall guest-starred in Hewitt’s current regular television vehicle, Ghost Whisperer
Apart from news of Hewitt and McCall’s engagement, Us also mentioned that the pair is currently on vacation in Hawaii.

Speaking of Hawaii, there have been more than a handful of eye-grabbing snaps of Hewitt and McCall frolicking on a Hawaiian beach.  That, in itself, wasn’t all that extraordinary.  What became the focus of the accompanying stories to the pics is Hewitt’s noticeably fuller figure.

Famed for her knockout body, the Ghost Whisperer actress has even been said to be the inspiration for crooner John Mayer’s smash song, “Your Body is a Wonderland.”  With refreshing candor and self-deprecating humor, Hewitt reportedly joked recently that her “body is far from a wonderland,” saying it is “more like a pawnshop.  There’s a lot of interesting things put together, and if you look closely you’d probably be excited, but at first glance, not so much.”
