’s fourth season, which premiered earlier this month, seems to be performing well on the airwaves as TV Guide reports that the show created by John Gray surged 12 percent week to week, hitting a season high of 9.95 million total viewers. Ghost Whisperer
stars singer/actress Jennifer Love Hewitt
as the titular character, Melinda Gordon.
The 29-year-old actress, who is known for her slender figure recently has been placed in the spotlight for her weight gain. Last month, we reported about her eating and drinking habits, which result to her having a better figure. More recently, Hewitt expressed her own views about self-image and weight management when Dancing with the Stars
’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy
allegedly criticized Cheryl Burke
and Lacey Schwimmer
’s weight gain.
"Cheryl Burke is so beautiful and an amazing dancer and that's what people should concentrate on," Hewitt told People, adding that he was “really insensitive” to say such words. "I think [people] feel like people don't have any feelings."
Meanwhile, Maksim finally spoke up on the issue, telling People, "I am outspoken but I do not discriminate how people look. I never criticized Cheryl or Lacey."
In fact, he adds that he has good working relationships with both Cheryl and Lacey. He says, "We're fine. I'm dancing with Cheryl next week."
Moreover, he says that it was just probably the media that blew the whole situation out of proportion, explaining, "I am a big promoter of being healthy and physical activity, but in my business, I do not condemn how people look. It's sad how all of this got spun."
Meanwhile, the Ghost Whisperer
star also remains to be a promoter of good health as well. In fact, she admits that regular exercise has helped her shape and tone her body. She is currently sporting a noticeably slimmer body than she did last year.
"My body just changed," she says. "When you're running that much and working out like that, that's what happens. I was happy with myself in those photos, and I'm still happy."
