Following reports about a major twist that's about to leave everyone shocked during the fourth season of
Ghost Whisperer, fans have immediately expressed their concerns and sentiments on the possible storyline that has leaked onto the internet, thanks to
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello. In line with this, lead star
Jennifer Love Hewitt has decided to shed some light on the upcoming twist that has left almost all
Ghost Whisperer fans devastated.

As reported previously, the fourth season of
Ghost Whisperer will find Melinda facing her most tragic challenge yet. She will reportedly become a widow as producers have decided to kill off Jennifer Love Hewitt's on-screen paramedic husband Jim, played by
David Conrad, who has been on the series since the beginning.
But given the premise of the fantasy-thriller drama, Jim's death will unlikely mark the end of the actor's run on
Ghost Whisperer.
"The important thing to always remember is that things are not as they seem on our show. We never do anything cut-and-dry. There are lots of opportunities for people to think that one thing is going to happen, and it actually turns out to be something else," Hewitt, who declined to confirm reports about her on-screen husband's death, told
TV Guide.
"People should very much keep their eyes open and enjoy the ride into our big storyline for the season rather than try to guess what's going to happen and how," she added. "People don't have any idea what's coming. But it is going to be very cool."
It has also been reported that Conrad has been eager to either get more exposure on
Ghost Whisperer or be let go. Hewitt, however, did not comment on the issue.
Ghost Whisperer returns for a 24-episode fourth season on Friday, October 3 on CBS.
