For a while there, it seemed
Ghost Whisperer wouldn't live to see another season with its Friday night time slot. Yet, the show has consistently brought in the ratings, averaging around 10 million viewers per episode. That's good news for Jennifer Love Hewitt. "I love everything about my character," she told the Australian press last week.
On
Ghost Whisperer, Hewitt plays Melinda Gordon, a married woman who can communicate with the dead. They come to her with unfinished business left in the world of the living, which she must take care of on their behalf. David Conrad plays her husband Jim and Camryn Manheim stars as Melinda's friend, Delia Banks.
The show is based on the real-life experiences of Mary Ann Winkowski, who serves as co-executive producer on the show. Her producing partner is James Van Praagh, a best-selling author who also had his own show from 2002-2003 called
Beyond with James Van Praagh. This will be
Ghost Whisperer's third season.
