Antonio Sabato Jr., the sexy soap star who originated the role of Jagger Cates on General Hospital and its spin-off General Hospital: Night Shift, will embark on a love quest on the new reality dating series, My Antonio, beginning Sunday, August 16 at 10pm on VH1. The 37-year-old actor will choose from 13 beautiful women who will travel to an exotic paradise in Hawaii where they will attempt to capture his heart.

My Antonio, a 10-episode series, kicks off with the General Hospital actor's sexy swim ashore to meet the women competing for his attention. Within the first few moments, however, he makes a shocking elimination, leading the women to realize that anything can happen when Antonio is in charge.

"I've been with some of the most amazing women in the world," Sabato said in a statement. "And at the age of 36, I'm finally ready to settle down. I really hope to meet that special someone. For me this is not a game. This is real. This is my life."

Unfortunately for the bachelorettes, there will be a lot of bumps on the road before they capture Antonio's heart. And since My Antonio is described as "a real-life soap opera" viewers can expect romance, betrayal and a show-stopping plot twist that comes in the form of Antonio's ex-wife, who suddenly shows up to compete for his love ---at any cost.

But that's not the only hitch on My Antonio. There's another lady causing trouble and it's Antonio's momma. Apparently, she arrives to help him make the most important decision of his life. But is anyone good enough for her number one son?

Aside from General Hospital, Antonio Sabato Jr. has also appeared on the SF series Earth 2, and on the prime-time soap opera Melrose Place. He has also been cast on The Bold and the Beautiful as Dante Damiano, and reality shows such as But Can They Sing? and Celebrity Circus where he emerged as the winner.
