At 58, legendary rocker
Gene Simmons has managed to keep himself busy with his work on his reality series
Gene Simmons Family Jewels, as well as his duties as bassist and vocalist to the band Kiss. On top of that, he still runs his business empire, which includes a comic book line, his own record company, a magazine, an animated series, while juggling TV and film appearances.
Although
Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which is currently on its third season, is about to wrap up its production, this doesn't mean that Simmons will have more room for rest and relaxation. In fact, he already has something lined up to fill the void.
"We've been up in Whistler, B.C. shooting the last two remaining episodes of our
Gene Simmons Family Jewels Season 3,” the
Family Jewels star said. “We haven't posted news for a few days simply because we get up at dawn, and get flown by helicopter or driven by a huge Cat up to 8,000 feet in the glaciers!!! Snow-capped mountains the likes of which you've never seen.”
While filming in Whistler, Simmons encountered daredevil snowboarder Chris Brown and his girlfriend, who are going to be in the 2010 Olympics scheduled to be held in Whistler.
"We're finishing up today, then off to San Francisco tomorrow to shoot a new show for Planet Green, being produced by Leslie Greif, our partner in our show, featuring Tommy Lee and Ludacris,” he added.
After filming his new show for Planet Green, Simmons will be doing a full day's worth of promotions and public appearances in San Francisco on Thursday, April 23 as part of his company's marketing events.
“Our Simmons Abramson Marketing firm represents the new and very cool Frank's Energy Drink,” Simmons said. “It's in 7-Elevens in San Diego, and I will be visiting a number of them to say hello to all of you and maybe share a Frank's. There'll be a secret Frank's Energy Drink party that night at a secret club. If you can figure out where it is, come up and say hi."
