Last Sunday,
Gene Simmons Family Jewels launched its new season, moving to its new timeslot at 9pm ET/PT on A&E. The new season of the reality series that follows the life of Kiss co-founder
Gene Simmons and his family kicked off with three new episodes starting with “Gene the Apprentice,” “Gene's Ego Trip,” and “Roasting of the Roast.”
If you missed the three-episode season opener of
Gene Simmons Family Jewels, here a quick recap of what transpired last week.
In “Gene the Apprentice,”
Shannon and Tracy tried to conceal from a clueless Gene what they had cosmetically done while he was shooting in New York for the reality series
The Celebrity Apprentice. In attempt to help themselves completely recover while Gene is gone, they enlist the help of
Sophie and her cousin Emily, who secretly hired a nasty nurse.
Comedy ensued as
Family Jewels continued with the episode “Gene’s Ego Trip.” In this installment, Shannon and Tracy came up with an idea to have Gene “Roasted” to help boost his ego back, as well as to raise money for the Wounded Soldiers Foundation with the help of Jeff Ross.
Sunday night ended with “Roasting of the Roast,” a special one hour and a half episode where Shannon tried to put Gene's ego in check as she volunteered him to be the subject of a roast for national TV. Even Nick, Shannon and Aunt Tracy took shots at good old Gene.
Tonight, fans will get to enjoy another new episode from
Gene Simmons Family Jewels. “Shannon to the Rescue” finds Gene and Shannon worrying in the wake of the Tracy elopement fiasco. As Shannon speculates that Tracy might be eloping to Hawaii with her boyfriend, she springs into action and suggests that Gene’s anti-marriage talk can snap Tracy out of it. But when Gene starts bonding with Tracy’s boyfriend, Gene and Shannon end up stealing their honeymoon.
