Watching Tyrion Lannister watch the queen he chose and the brother he loves battle it out on Game of Thrones season 7 was heart-wrenching. And seeing the horrified look on his face as Drogon set the soldiers ablaze shows that he won't just follow his leaders blindly. So now that Daenerys Targaryen has entered the war, will Tyrion remain loyal to her?

Daenerys has been incredibly frustrated throughout Game of Thrones season 7 because all she's done is sit back and wait. Her advisors - Tyrion in particular - warned her not to use force and to prove that she's a just, good queen. But after she lost her allies one by one, Daenerys declared she was through with Tyrion's "clever plans" and even accused him of trying to help his family. Instead, Daenerys chose to be the dragon she truly is. She took matters into her own hands and took Drogon and the Dothraki and attacked Jaime and his army.

Tyrion, meanwhile, watched horrified from the sidelines as two of the people he cares about most in the world faced off. It's no secret that there's no love lost between Tyrion and Cersei. But Tyrion does care about Jaime. Jaime was the only family member to truly show him any love. He even helped Tyrion escape after Oberyn lost the trial by combat.

And Tyrion looked so conflicted and horrified as he watched Daenerys unleash hell on Jaime's army. As he prayed the "idiot" would run rather than try to attack Daenerys and Drogon, Tyrion seemed to finally realize that siding with Dany meant siding against his brother.

So could Tyrion turn his back on Daenerys in favor of his brother? Maybe. It even works with the prophecy that Dany would be betrayed "once for blood and once for gold and once for love." The first two betrayals seemed to have already happened, but Tyrion could fulfill the third part of the prophecy by betraying Dany for his love for Jaime.

But Tyrion's love for Jaime isn't the only thing that will affect his loyalty to Dany. He's also begun questioning her decisions. Tyrion didn't want Daenerys to use so much violence and force, but she did anyway. There's been a lot of speculation that Daenerys could follow in her father's footsteps and end up a Mad Queen, and Tyrion definitely looked uncomfortable with all the mayhem, destruction, and burning flesh.

And Tyrion will continue to question Daenerys on Game of Thrones season 7 episode 5. In the promo, Tyrion looks incredibly uncomfortable when Daenerys declares people have to bend the knee or die. And she's only going to get more extreme. "You need to find a way to make her listen," Varys tells Tyrion.

Tyrion's not one to give his loyalty blindly, so if Daenerys doesn't listen or if Jaime survives the fall into the water and ends up in more trouble, Tyrion could end up turning his back on Daenerys.

Do you think Tyrion's loyalty to Daenerys will be tested in Game of Thrones season 7 episode 5? If he had to choose, should he choose Dany or Jaime? Leave your comments below!
