Game of Thrones is fond of using its Comic-Con panels to unleash a massive wave of new casting announcements. Though fans are still many months away from season 5, the panel did reveal eight new additions to the cast, including a young Oscar nominee and a whole lot of Prince Oberyn's family.

The panel included author George R.R. Martin, EPs David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, plus stars Maisie Williams (Arya), Sophie Turner (Sansa), Natalie Dormer (Margaery), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Rory McCann (the Hound), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), John Bradley (Samwell) and Pedor Pascal (Oberyn).

Though Peter Dinklage wasn't there, he was a big part of the season 4 blooper reel. Enjoy watching the stars of this serious, Emmy-nominated drama goof off.

Here's a quick summary of the eight new cast members announced for Game of Thrones season 5:

-Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) will play Obara Sand, one of Oberyn Martell's many bastard daughters who are collectively known as the Sand Snakes. She is the oldest daughter and a fierce warrior.

-Jessica Henwick will play Nymeria Sand, the second oldest of the Sand Snakes

-Rosabell Laurenti Sellers will play Tyene Sand, the third oldest of the Sand Snakes.

-Alexander Siddig (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Da Vinci's Demons) will play Doran Martell, Oberyn's older brother and the head of House Martell.

-Toby Sebastian will play Trystane Martell, Doran's youngest son who is betrothed to marry Cersei's daughter, Myrcella.

-Nell Tiger Free will take over the role of Myrcella Baratheon, Cersei's daughter who is in Dorne, replacing Aimee Richardson who previously played the role in seasons 1 and 2.

-DeObia Oparei will play Areo Hotah, the personal bodyguard of Doran Martell.

-Jonathan Pryce will play the High Sparrow, a religious leader in King's Landing fighting against corruption.

-Enzo Cilenti will play Yezzan, who is a slave trader from Yunkai in the books.

Obviously with all of this casting, a large chunk of Game of Thrones season 5 will be set in Dorne and feature the Martell family's reaction to the death of Oberyn in Tyrion's Trial by Combat.

Game of Thrones season 5 will debut in the spring of 2015.
