At the age of 10, Candace Cameron got her big Hollywood break as Donna Jo "D.J." Tanner on the sitcom
Full House. She was the oldest daughter of Pamela and Danny Tanner, played by
Bob Saget (
1 vs. 100), and sister to younger siblings, Stephanie and Michelle. She depicted a typical teenager with everyday issues, which mostly involved her dad prying into her affairs. Despite the occasional mischief, she always expressed her regrets and apologies. This became a prominent facet of her character as she explored life-important lessons throughout many episodes. At present, the 31-year-old actress is focusing her attention to non-showbiz endeavors.

Although Candace Cameron's onscreen exposure isn't as extensive as it was during her
Full House days, she remains to be in touch with the public. She has a regular monthly column with Christian Women Online and is currently preoccupied with her recently opened Milk and Honey Café, which is located in Florida.
While on
Full House, Cameron also worked on a several television and movie projects, including
No One Would Tell, She Cried No, and
Night Scream, in which she landed starring roles. She also became part of the movie
Punchline, alongside Tom Hanks and Sally Field.
Following the conclusion of
Full House, she married NHL hockey player Valerie Bure, who was introduced by her former
Full House costar Dave Coulier. She took a break from television and film to devote her time to her family and briefly came back with numerous television appearances. She also became a commentator on
I Love the ‘80s Strikes Back and a host of
50 Cutest Child Stars: All Grown Up. Most recently, she guest starred on
