This week's Fringe episode, "The Consultant," has it all. Two universes, issues in the David Robert Jones plot, a gruesome-murder-by-science of the week, and some silly Walter stuff all feature. Could it get any better? Check out these Fringe videos from "The Consultant" to find out for yourself.

WARNING: There are several Fringe spoilers in the videos that follow. But they're really entertaining, so it's probably OK.

First up, get an overview of the episode in this promo video for "The Consultant."

  • Would the evil Nina share the identity of David Robert Jones' mole even if she knew it?
  • I'm guessing the funeral is for Alt-Lincoln. But maybe not.
  • A universe can kill someone elsewhere?
  • What is in Peter's briefcase?
  • Much worse? Really Meana? That's not good. Not good at all.
  • Of course, the guy flying up to his death in the board room isn't so good either.

The second video gives us an extended look at Fauxlivia's interview with Meana.

After her extended silence, it's kind of awesome that Fringe gave Meana a classic super-villain speech. I almost expected those lines to be followed with some evil laughter.

The third of the Fringe videos gives us a look at the crime scene of the week.

  • Considering that Olivia is telling them about people dying in strange, unpleasant ways, the suppressed giggles exhibited by Peter and Walter at the beginning of this clip seem somewhat out of place. Hopefully, it's a reaction to something that happened earlier.
  • On the other hand, Peter still looks sort of giddy while examining the bodies. What's up with him?
  • "He's dead, Peter. You can't hurt him." Oh, how I missed insane, entertaining Walter!
  • It would be an interesting and odd departure for Fringe if the only cause given for all the weird stuff were suddenly "act of God."

The final video clip from "The Consultant" shows Walter and Olivia about to cross over to the Other Side.

It's good to know that portals between universes have similar customs-and-immigration interrogations to the ones we get crossing national boundaries. Although apparently you can admit to drug use with much less difficulty than in reality...

"The Consultant" will air on Friday, April 13 at 9pm on FOX.
