Although
Matt LeBlanc previously appeared on numerous television commercials, he gained massive fame as a cast member of the Emmy award winning series
Friends. As Joey Tribbiani, he popularized the words “how you doin’?” and gave humor to the show as a food-lover, womanizer and a struggling actor. In a span of ten years, he acquired numerous Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, and won the Teen Choice Awards in 2002.
LeBlanc was the only
Friends cast member who was given the opportunity to carry on his infamous character Joey Tribbiani into a spin-off series called
Joey. The show followed Joey’s new life upon moving to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. Although the spin-off showed initial promise, ratings eventually dropped and the series got cancelled after two seasons.
At present, the 39-year old actor is working on the film
The Watch where he serves as the producer. Set in World War II, the sci-fi thriller centers on a team of highly specialized soldiers aimed to fire up a Nazi fuel depot, only to discover that an evil spirit surrounds them. Directed by Victor Salva,
The Watch is expected to premiere in 2008.
