Rachel Karen Green is played by Jennifer Aniston in the hit television series Friends. Rachel was popular in high school and was promiscuous. She ran away from her wedding to Barry Farber because she realized how much she was in the state of arrested development, being a woman who had not emotionally outgrown adolescence. Her parents are well off and do not approve of her living in with her friends in the city. She is quite self-absorbed though this lessened when she had her own baby.
