Minka Kelly as Lyla GarrityFans of Friday Night Lights will have to wait until next year to catch new episodes of the critically-acclaimed football drama.  However, those who are itching to find out what is in store for the series in the coming weeks can catch a sneak peek through some good, old fashioned spoilers.

As indicated on the Friday Night Lights website, the next new episode 2008 will air on January 4.  According to SpoilerFIX, the episode is called “There Goes the Neighborhood,” and will feature a tornado sweeping through the Dillon county area.  The tornado causes some damage to Laribee high school, a rival school, and Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) is left with no choice but to welcome Laribee into their school.  The Laribees and the Panthers are forced to share the weight room, football field and lockers.

Meanwhile, Tami (Connie Britton) and Julie (Aimee Teegarden) are trying their best to adjust to Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) living in their house.  Lyla (Minka Kelly) is struggling with her mother's plans to remarry, and elsewhere, Landry (Jesse Plemons) and Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) are attempting to further their relationship, now that the murder incident behind them.

Gaius Charles, Scott Porter and Zach Gilford also star in the episode.

“There Goes the Neighborhood” is the tenth episode of Friday Night Lights current season.  While there is no substantial information available yet on the eleventh episode, SpoilerFIX has posted some details about episode 2.12, entitled “Who Do You Think You Are?”

“Who Do You Think You Are” is slated to air on January 18.  The episode marks the beginning of Matt Czuchry's (Gilmore Girls) guest-star stint on Friday Night Lights.  Czuchry appears as Chris Kennedy, a 20-something-year-old man who has spent a few years working as a missionary with his parents in Europe.  He is the host of Christian talk show, “I Was a Teenage Christian,” in which teens phone in to get advice.  Chris becomes friends with Lyla.

Also in the episode is a character named Devon, a tough guy who was just released from juvenile hall.  One of the first things he does when he gets out is find Santiago (Benny Ciaramello), and tries to persuade him to ditch school.

Meanwhile, Smash (Charles) becomes the star of the hour in the locker room, but fails to impress the coach.  Tami experiences difficulty in letting Gracie attend day care.
