Friday Night Lights: Previewing Episode 4.04 "A Sort Of Homecoming"
Wednesday, November 18, 2009
Well, stuff are finally unraveling on Friday Night Lights. The Lions are sort of coming together, the graduates are still grappling with life after high school, and loyalties are being tested--say, Buddy finally giving up on the Panthers because Joe just took over and wrecked things up. And then there's this important lesson that I learned after watching Eric and Tami argue about financial matters: don't ever burn your old clothes if you don't have the means to buy new ones.
Indeed, it's hard getting established in a new place, more so if everybody seems to want you out, or worse, killed. Eric at East Dillon, or Tami at Dillon itself, where she's always been. Or the new players, the tensions brewing between Vince and Luke, the reason why team work hasn't exactly panned out the way it should be, the reason why the Lions still lose. You get the idea.
Tonight, stuff still continue its desperate descent, sort of. Eric looks into East Dillon's history after a homecoming event at East Dillon High--know the enemy, they do say, although it might dishearten him more than encourage. Tami still feels the wrath of the boosters--something I couldn't explain, although it sucks being torn between two passionate lovers, to use a scratched-out metaphor. As for Vince, well, he finds himself attracted to Jess--oh, and Landry gets into it, too. Sowing the seeds of love? More like chaos.
Friday Night Lights returns with a fresh new episode tonight from 9pm on DirecTV's The 101 Network.
