'Friday Night Lights' Preview: Is It A Turn For The Worse?
Looks like it's sooo hard being part of the East Dillon Lions.

I mean, you lose your first game because your coach forfeits?  Of course you wouldn't show up for practice.  But if you're Eric, you had to forfeit -- your kids are getting banged up -- and now you have to convince them to come back because you still believe in them.  Of course, all's well that ends well.  I thought Landry going ballistic on him was the end.

But that's not all the turmoil that's happening on Friday Night Lights. There is, of course, the pressure escalating around Tami, especially since that Luke kid has to move to East Dillon.  I still find the idea that people are accusing her (and Eric, by consequence) of having a hand in the transfer ridiculous. But it's taking a toll on the marriage, anyway.

And it will continue to take a toll on tonight's episode. Hard times befall East Dillon, and Eric decides to do something about it -- only to end up betraying Tami's trust. As the football program continues, tensions start to rise between Vince the local and Luke the import (although that's putting it loosely).  And Riggins, still a bit lost after ditching college, starts helping out by conditioning the Lions.

Of course, it leads to another question: will the Lions ever make it? Friday Night Lights returns tonight at 8pm on NBC.
