Minka Kelly is
Maxim's Sexiest Woman Alive, Adrianne Palicki may have just defeated her former
Friday Night Lights co-star when it comes to lady-titles: She's been cast in the starring role for David E. Kelly's upcoming
Wonder Woman TV pilot.
The series will be a reinvention of both the comics and the original TV series, which aired from 1976-1979 and starred Lynda Carter, but with a
few modern twists. Palicki will play a Los Angeles woman trying to balance all the elements of her extraordinary life, from "vigilante crime fighter" to "successful corporate executive" (she'll play her own alter ego, billionaire business woman Diana Themyscira) and her assistant, "modern woman" Diana Prince.
In the original series, Carter played an Army nurse and secret agent when she wasn't in her Wonder Woman gear. Instead of mending soldiers, Palicki's Diana will be making money. That
is a modern twist!
Palicki, who is best known for her role as Tyra Collette on
Friday Night Lights and who briefly starred in the too-soon canceled
Lone Star on Fox this fall, was
reportedly the only actress invited to test for the role.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to this reboot, and do you see Palicki filling that impossibly tiny costume well? VOTE:
