Aspiring house-flippers have only one show to look forward to, and that’s Bravo’s Flipping Out, which puts the spotlight on Jeff Lewis, a self-professed real-estate enthusiast who enjoys purchasing homes and making them over for another sale.  In fact, he adds a personal touch to every estate he has worked on by emulating a person’s lifestyle through the interiors and exteriors of the homes.

“I'm obsessive about the way I live and work, so when it comes to renovating, I believe in finding the true integrity of a house, then breathing life back into it in a way that connects with a certain type of buyer,” Jeff Lewis says about his brand of work.

Flipping Out follows Jeff Lewis and his crew, composed of interior designer Ryan Brown, executive assistant Jenni Pulos, former trash man turned house manager Chris Elwood, housekeeper Noila Chavez and new assistant Chris Keslar, as they work together, emulating a dysfunctional but fun to watch family that holds the series down together.

Recently, Jeff Lewis spoke with TV Guide on how to sell a home without having to go through much of the hassles of the sale.

First, he says that one needs to "[List] your home 5 percent below the most recent comparable sale," because "pricing is everything."

Secondly, "Always make your house available for showings and open houses.  Don't give a buyer a reason to buy the house next door."  More importantly, never neglect the low offers.  In fact, he says "Respond to all offers, no matter how low.  Buyers will lowball just to see how motivated you are.  Don't take it personally."

Lastly, Lewis explains that "Since 25 to 33 percent of buyers cancel escrow, do whatever you have to do to keep your buyer happy.  This may include giving a credit, doing repairs or paying a portion of your buyer's closing costs."

The second season of Flipping Out saw Lewis get into his game while trying to deal with his teammates, exerting more effort to exercise more patience with them.  Nonetheless, Lewis admits that his team is important to him and that he couldn’t have done anything without them.

In tonight’s season finale, the Commonwealth property gets sold, leaving Jeff Lewis homeless and on the lookout for another house.  Additionally, Jeff deals with his team, as they all rush to meet a fast-approaching deadline.

Catch Flipping Out’s second season finale on Bravo tonight at 10pm.
