Starring Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, Flight of the Conchords revolves around the pair as they try to achieve success in New York City as a band while weaving their humorous songs into the plot of each episode.  The principle cast also includes fellow comedians Rhys Darby, Arj Barker, and Kristen Schaal.

As of the moment, the number of episodes for Conchords are undisclosed.  According to Carolyn Strauss, President, HBO Entertainment, the show will return with new episodes in 2008.

In addition to Conchords, HBO has also ordered more episodes of its Emmy Award-winning series, Entourage.  Created by Doug Ellin, the series chronicles the rise of Vincent Chase, portrayed by Adrian Grenier, a young up and coming actor, loosely based on a young Mark Wahlberg. The show also features his friends, Eric "E" Murphy (Kevin Connolly), Johnny "Drama" Chase (Kevin Dillon), and Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), as they explore the world of Hollywood.

Conchords has built a steady following since premiering behind Entourage earlier this summer, particularly with younger viewers.  Both renewal marks a success for the network in the Sunday night slot.

"Entourage is a full-fledged cultural phenomenon, and Flight of the Conchords has quickly become a show to watch," Strauss said.  "I'm delighted that we'll be bringing new seasons of these distinctive series to our subscribers."

Meanwhile, fans can now catch the Conchord's EP entitled The Distant Future, which will be followed by a full-length album in January 2008.
