In its effort to unite viewers of the network's buzz-generating programs, VH1 is now planning to launch a new tool built for mobile devices that will allow viewers to access chat rooms while they watch reality shows like Flavor of Love.  The mobile application is called VH1 Watch and Discuss Live Chat and is expected to be available in May.

The new VH1 Watch and Discuss Live Chat application is said to be part of the network's ongoing branding campaign that spans all of the network's shows and properties.  With the use of on-air promos, events and other digital initiatives, this new endeavor supports fans' desire to connect with each other and to talk about the buzz that shows like Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and The Salt-N-Pepa Show, just to name a few, create.

The new Watch and Discuss Live Chat application will be available for users to download for free through various mobile carriers.  Through this new application, fans will be able to join ongoing discussions within VH1's existing chat rooms as these are tied to the network's on-air schedule. This means users can instantly access the chat room of the VH1's show that's airing at any given time.

In addition, this mobile application also allows users to set up personal profiles and message their friends, and create chat rooms to discuss a range of topics including music, politics, sports, movies and more.

In the coming months, VH1 Mobile will also be offer celebrity-hosted chat rooms with some of VH1's top talent.  It will also launch a mobile game tied to the reality dating series Flavor of Love, which stars rap star Flavor Flav.

Meanwhile, fans watch Flavor Flav as he looks for his ideal match on Flavor of Love, now on its third season, on VH1 every Monday at 9/8c.
