'FlashForward' Roundup: Ratings Low and Cancellation Possible, but Janis Ready to be a Mom
The return of FlashForward wasn't as welcome as we expected. Even though it was everything the creators promised, audiences just didn't feel up to tuning in. Worse, with its ratings it won't be able to fill in for Lost either.

Still, there are plenty of exciting scenes left for FlashForward's upcoming episodes. The series' viewership may be small, but it certainly has a lot of big ideas to offer. One of which is Janis Hawk's big news of a baby.

Possible spoilers below!

Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online has revealed that the lesbian will be focusing on making her flashforward vision come true. She talked to actress Christine Woods about the story, and she's just as excited as her character is.

"Janis has decided that she wants a baby, and she's going to do whatever it takes to get one. And we get to see what she does in order to acquire this baby," she said.

Meanwhile, her friend and colleague Demetri has his own baby to deal with: his fiancée (Gabrielle Union). Actor John Cho revealed, "Zoey wants to run off together and avoid this mess, and Demetri wants to stay and solve the mystery."

But will we even get to that, given how FlashForward is struggling to stay afloat in this ocean of shows?  Last week's premiere only garnered a measly 6.61 million viewers for its first hour, and dropped to 6.49 for its second. TV Overmind reports that that occurred despite weak competition from other networks.

As for news on the show's season renewal, FlashForward is still in limbo. Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly listed down shows that are likely to return, and uncertainty looms for this ABC drama.  The FBI agents don't even need to investigate on that to know it's true.

The report says FlashForward "could go either way" and given the results we're expecting the show to sink. The long hiatus obviously hurt its status, and even the presence of Dominic Monaghan can't seem to bring a positive outcome. Oh, if only we had a vision of the future, we'd already know if the time we're spending on this series is still worth it.
