It's another international destination for the Flash Forward group tonight on the series, as the detectives travel to Hong Kong to investigate. They already know the date of Demetri's (John Cho) death and where the mysterious call came from, now they're preparing to dive into the details. Will this actually prevent the agent's death, or worsen the situation and lead them closer towards it?
On "A561984", Mark (Joseph Fiennes) and his partner go against the orders of Agent Wedeck (Courtney B. Vance) and head to the East. Searching for the woman who called Demetri won't be easy, and things get tougher when a new character is introduced.
Acting as a foil to Mark's character is Miles Fogel, portrayed by Michael Ealy. He's been dubbed as a "thorn" to Agent Benford's side, which means he will definitely hinder him from pursuing the investigation of Demetri's "fate."
And with tampering with people's fates comes responsibility. Lloyd Simcoe (Jack Davenport) is ready to tell the world about what he's done to bring about the global blackout. Simon (Dominic Monaghan) isn't pleased at all, since he's been trying to stop his colleague from doing that for weeks.
Meanwhile, we also get to know more about Demetri's fiancée Zoey (Gabrielle Union) as she discovers more information about her own flash-forward. Is the Hawaiian wedding just an illusion then?
You can catch a preview of "A561984" below, where Mark Benford is holding a woman at gunpoint. If I remember it correctly, it's the lady who called Demetri and told him he would die on March 15, 2010.
As for the title of the episode, it sounds like a code that will definitely be essential to the series' progression. The last episode featured a Japanese symbol for "Believe"; who knows what "A561984" means? We will find out eventually as
