'Flash Forward' Adds Three Showrunners, Subtracts One Episode
With David Goyer departing from the helms of Flash Forward, it's going to need a lot for the series to push through.  Maybe that's why they decided three heads could fill in the void he left behind.

Variety reports that Jessika Borsiczky, Lisa Zwerling and Tim Lea have all been tapped to be the new showrunners for the ABC series.  They're also going to serve as executive producers of the show.

The first two have been involved with Flash Forward for some time now, and we know Borsiczky is actually David Goyer's wife.  She was already a producer for the show, so we're pretty sure she can be a good showrunner as well.

The three will supposedly be taking over writing duties for the drama, while David Goyer serves as executive producer.  He won't be involved in the usual operations though, working less and less on the series.

But that doesn't stop us from worrying about the fate of Flash Forward, since we're not glimpsing its future or anything.  However, it sounds like things are getting even rockier for this serialized thriller.

We're not just talking about the messed up schedules and all these sudden changes, though it sounds like there will be more.  Apparently, the network has also reduced the episode order for the show.  Again.

ABC has ordered only 22 episodes of the series, taking one away from the original 23.  At first the network had faith in the show, ordering a total of 25 episodes in October.  It was then cut down to 24 since then, before another decrease to 23.  Now, it's another episode less when Flash Forward returns this March.

If the series isn't able to hit it big during the debut of season 1's second half, we may just have a TV crisis on our hands.  In other words, a cancellation.  We're not exactly spelling doom for Flash Forward, but with how it's been doing lately, the future looks glum.
