Gillette Young Gun Kurt Busch was born on August 4, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He pilots the #2 Miller Lite Dodge in Nextel Cup Series and part time in Busch Series driving the #12 Penske Truck Rental Dodge in the NASCAR. In 2004, he won the NASCAR Nextel Cup series championship in the first season using the Chase for the Cup point format. A year later, he drove the #97 Sharpie/Irwin Industrial Tools Ford for Roush Racing. In 2006, Busch left Roush Racing and joined Penske Racing South. However, team owner Jack Roush refused to let him out of his contract to replace the retiring Rusty Wallace in the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger. Busch was married to Eva Bryan in Virginia in the same year. His younger brother, Kyle Busch, also competes in both Nextel Cup and Busch series. In 2007, Busch joined five other professional racers in the reality show Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race.
Kurt Busch is one sixth of the team Gillette Young Guns on the reality show Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race on ABC. The show features twelve celebrities who race it out stock car style with the Guns, competing for the win. Among the twelve are Serena Williams, Krista Allen and William Shatner. The show runs for six episodes and is hosted by Kenny Mayne alongside Brad Daugherty.
