Biography

Gillette Young Gun James Kenneth "Jimmie" Johnson was born on September 17, 1975 in El Cajon, California. He is a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race car driver, driving the #48 Lowe's Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS and Chevrolet Impala SS owned by his teammate Jeff Gordon and operated by Hendrick's Motorsports. During his first year in professional racing, he became the first rookie in the Cup series to sweep both races at a track, winning two races at Dover International Speedway. Johnson was also the first rookie ever to lead in the point standings, and the only driver to finish in the top five in the standings in his first five full seasons. He has never finished below the fifth place in the final NEXTEL Cup points standings and even finished second twice. In 2006, Johnson won the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup championship and became the only driver to win the Daytona 500, Allstate 400 at the Brickyard and the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Championship all in the same year. Aside from racing, Johnson hosts a weekly radio show, Not What You Expected on XM Satellite Radio. He also appears on the reality series Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race where he joins the Gillette Young Guns race with twelve celebrities from different arenas.

Jimmie Johnson is one of the Gillette Young Guns on the reality show Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race. He joins five other men in the Gillette Young Guns team as they race it out stock car style with twelve celebrities from different arenas such as sports and entertainment. The show runs for six episodes and is hosted by Kenny Mayne and Brad Daugherty.
