Tired of the same old reality dating shows featuring unrealistically gorgeous, successful and rich young men on the lookout for the women of their dreams? Reality fans get ready for The CW's new fall offering,
Farmer Wants a Wife. Already an international TV sensation, the reality series is finally heading to the United States to put the spotlight on one amicable and industrious farmer who has got it all—except for love.
Executive producers for the show, Adam Cohen, Cara Tapper and Joanna Vernetti have already scouted the States for women from all different cities who have given up on men from the city, and want to make a change. The farmer, on the other hand, is determined to see if a city woman can add some spice to his simple lifestyle. These uptown women must embrace the entirely different country lifestyle by performing activities such as working on a farm, driving a tractor, taking care of farm animals and attending the much anticipated bingo night. If they overcome these challenges and charm their way into our dear farmer's heart, one of them might just win his affections, while the others must head back to the city.
Based on a concept from the British magazine,
Country Living,
Farmer Wants a Wife is the brainchild of FremantleMedia North America in cooperation with Super Delicious LLC. The show has already taken European countries such as Sweden, Finland, Belgium and France by storm, and has also pushed forward to land on the number one timeslot in Germany and Australia.
Coming to American television screens on The CW Network,
Farmer Wants a Wife debuts on Wednesday, April 30 at 9pm, right after
Tyra Banks' hit reality series,
America's Next Top Model.
