Previously on
Farmer Wants a Wife, we saw how the women went into the kitchen and brushed up their culinary skills in a bake off to give
Farmer Matt a taste of their pie. We also saw how the women attempted to shear a sheep, much to Matt’s delight. He was impressed, up until the women had a revealing drinking game in which
Ashley got so drunk she let slip a bad word which rung in Matt’s ears. The following day, the gang headed to the local fair, where Matt judged the women’s pies and hailed
Amanda the winner of the challenge.
Tonight, the elimination was stellar as the name of the unlucky girl who was heading home appeared through a giant display of lights in front of everyone to see. Lo and behold, it was
Lisa’s name that appeared, and she openly received Matt’s thoughts about her not being much of a farmer’s wife.

Despite Ashley’s earlier slip-up, Matt asked her to a date, which also did not turn out to be so great because they soon realize that they don’t have much in common.
So what’s in store now that Lisa has gone home and Matt finally opened his eyes to the real Ashley?
On next week’s episode of
Farmer Wants a Wife, Matt invites the women to put on a talent show for the town. Some of the more outgoing women are happy to hear about this endeavor and really prepared for the challenge of strutting their stuff in front of the country crowd. In fact, some of the women are able to charm the audiences. Unfortunately for the others, they didn't have enough charisma to make the crowd cheer for more.
Later, Matt and the women go to a hog roast, where Ashley gets into crazy mode again and puts Matt in an awkward spot. A shocking elimination follows and Matt invites one of the women on a hot date.
