Matt Neustadt has been busy with charity-related appearances now that he has already found love in
Brooke Ward on The CW's
Farmer Wants a Wife. Two weeks ago, he and girlfriend Brooke participated at the Big Kahuna Celebrity Bartender Challenge, which was held at Side Pockets in St. Charles. Most recently, however, he was featured in yet another charity event that is most close to his heart.
On Saturday, the
Farmer Wants a Wife star posed for pictures and signed autographs as part of St. Charles' The Concert for Flood Relief, a free public event featuring various musical groups and entertainment exhibits held at Frontier Park along the Missouri River.
Aside from the
Farmer Wants a Wife star, Saturday's family-friendly affair featured bands such asJasha & The Sixty Minute Men, Contagious, The Rough Ryders and Country Folk performing live on the Jaycee Stage at Frontier Park. Moreover, the public was invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for picnicking and enjoying the festivities, which also included magicians, jugglers and informative exhibits, as well as new boat displays. Of course, there were also some representatives from American Red Cross and other organizations discussing flood relief efforts and public safety.
All profits from sales of beer, food, beverages and snacks were donated directly to the American Red Cross St. Charles County Service Center, a unit of the St. Louis Area Chapter, to assist victims of recent flooding in St. Charles County, including homeowners and businesses.
As reported in June, Matt Neustadt's farm was one of the many along the Mississippi and other rivers that took a beating from flooding. His farm has endured at least six times in the last 35 years but things took a bad turn when a levee near his family land farm gave away and opened up some 700 acres of their farm to flooding.
