'Farmer Wants a Wife' Couple Goes Public

Following a few interviews here and there, Matt Neustadt and Brooke Ward, the woman who captured his heart on the reality dating series Farmer Wants a Wife, finally goes public as they appear together for a fundraising event.  If you want an update on the status of their relationship, you can ask them yourself today at the Big Kahuna Celebrity Bartender Challenge, which will be held at Side Pockets in St. Charles.

Matt Neustadt, a 29-year-old farmer from West Alton, Missouri, was the star of The CW's Farmer Wants a Wife, which is based on the British program of the same name.  The series, which premiered on April 30, followed Matt as he chose a potential romantic partner among a group of 10 single city women.  In the end of its eight-episode run, Matt chose Brooke Ward, a 22-year-old marketing representative from Dallas, Texas, over runner-up Christa Ackerman, a 21-year-old cocktail waitress from New York.

Tonight, the Farmer Wants a Wife couple will be featured at the Big Kahuna Celebrity Bartender Challenge, where four teams of local celebrities and well-known citizens battle against each other to raise the most money and win the coveted Big Kahuna trophy.  Proceeds, including the $5 cover charge for this event, will go to the Community Living, which is a non-profit agency that provides life enriching services to people with disabilities in St. Charles.

The challenge will take place from 6pm to 10pm at Side Pockets Restaurant and Bar in St. Charles, in the Mark Twain Mall next to Bass Pro.  In addition to Matt Neustadt and Brooke Ward, other participants include Rick Wallace and Van Lorenz from 106.5 The Arch, Jeff Vernetti of KFNS 590 The Fan, Eric Schmidt from MOViN 101.1, St. Louis soccer legend Daryl Doran with Doran Fitness, and Thom West from 105.7 the Point.
