The Griffin family is heading to Chicago. After sell-out performances in Montreal, New York and Los Angeles, Seth MacFarlane is set to bring forth his Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series,
Family Guy, for a one-night-only, live stage event in Chicago.
"
Family Guy's eagerly awaited return to television is a testament to the passion of our fans, and
Family Guy Live! offers them the unique opportunity to experience the show in an exciting live environment and helps us eventize the launch of the new season and the new comedy album in the two biggest markets," Twentieth Century Fox Senior Vice President of Marketing, Steven Melnick, said.
Developed by Seth MacFarlane and David Zuckerman,
Family Guy centers of a family composed of
Peter Griffin, his wife Lois and children, Meg, Chris and Stewie, as well as their talking dog, Brian, as they go through everyday life and misadventures in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island.
MacFarlane, who provides the voice of Peter, Brian, Stewie, Glenn Quagmire, Tom Tucker, and others, has handpicked several classic episodes from the series for an uncensored live reading, which will be performed by the voice actors behind the characters of
Family Guy.
In addition to MacFarlane,
Family Guy Live! also includes Alex Borstein,
Seth Green (
Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Mila Kunis (
That ‘70s Show) and Mike Henry.
In the live event, the cast will feature some bonus materials never before seen on Fox. The cast will also be performing some of the most memorable musical numbers from the series and will engage in a Q&A segment where fans will have the opportunity to find out everything they ever wanted to know about the show.
Moreover, the live show will enable viewers to catch the exclusive sneak peak of the highly anticipated one-hour “Star Wars” themed season 6 premiere episode set to air on Sunday, September 23 on FOX.
Meanwhile, fans can catch the Griffins in action tomorrow, September 15 at 7pm and 10pm at The Chicago Theater.
