Ty Pennington was born on October 19, 1964. Ty is also known to be a versatile carpenter, fashion model and TV personality. Initially, he loved carpentry and even used woodworking as a means of livelihood when he was studying. Becoming a model was just an opportunity that presented itself when a modeling scout approached him while he was still in school. It seemed to be a profitable career for Ty as he traveled to many places and appeared on print and commercials for Swatch, Sprite, J. Crew, Diet Coke, Levi's and Macy's. Nowadays, Ty is said to be one of the highest paid endorses according to TV Guide Channel. His creative skills fused with good looks came in handy as he became a carpenter-designer on the show Trading Spaces.
