John Beasley was born June 26, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska. Beasley began his entertainment career at 45, having previously worked as a Union Pacific railroad clerk for seven years, prior to pursuing acting full-time. He has since made up for lost time by appearing in a number of high profile motion pictures like Untamed Heart, The Mighty Ducks, The Sum of All Fears and The General’s Daughter.

Irv Harper, played by John Beasley on Everwood, is the town’s much loved school bus driver and immediate friend to the newly-transplanted Brown family. Gentle and subtle, Irv strikes a welcome contrast to his outspoken and unabashed wife, Edna.
